Enrolment Period

Applications to enrol for 2027 can be done online from April to August, the year before the child begins school. School tours are available throughout the year.

Join during the school year

The NSW academic year runs from February to December. If you're joining during the school year, please contact us to discuss your arrival and ensure a smooth transition.

How to enrol in the FANS Bilingual Program

There are two steps to enrol with the FANS French Bilingual Program. All enrolments can be submitted online.

1. Enrol with FANS through the Parent Portal

New User: Create a profile

Existing User: Log-in

If you are already logged in, visit Parents Portal

■ Submit an application of enrolment
Read and accept the Terms & Conditions
Make the bond payment to secure your enrolment

2. Enrol with Killarney Heights Public School (KHPS)

Catchment area
It is preferable to live in the catchment area of the school to ensure your enrolment at KHPS.

However, KHPS offers an out-of-area enrolment process for families enrolling in the FANS French Bilingual Program.

Please contact the school for more information about the out-of-area application process and area limitations. Generally, the school considers applications from families residing within a 25-minute drive to the school during peak morning traffic.

Temporary Residents - Arriving from overseas

Children who are dependents of parents arriving in Australia on a temporary work or student visa (for example, the parent is on a 482 or 500 visa) can apply to enrol with KHPS via DE International, the international unit of the NSW Department of Education.

Children who are coming to Australia on their own Student Visa (subclass 500) can only enrol in schools registered to accept international students. Please contact the school to discuss.

Payable per quarterly term

Or $1,680 ($40 discount) if made in one payment at the start of each academic year
Optional IFBS (Intensive French Before School) class available with separate enrolment,

+ $1200 one-time enrolment bond
+ $175 one-time admin fee

25% off for families with 3 or more children, applicable on program fees for 3rd child

Francophone stream

$4,320 .00

Payable per quarterly term

Or $4,220 ($100 discount) if made in one payment at the start of each academic year
Includes twice weekly IFBS (Intensive French Before School) classes from 8:00am - 8:45am every Monday and Thursday
+ $1200 one-time enrolment bond
+ $175 one-time admin fee

25% off for families with 3 or more children, applicable on program fees for 3rd child

Program Fees

As a bilingual program within a public school, we are committed to maintaining an affordable, quality bilingual program. We aim to make bilingualism accessible to all families, and our program fees are very competitive compared with independent and international schools.

Important Information

The French Bilingual Program involves annual fees, which support staffing of our qualified, native French-speaking teachers, curriculum development, and teaching resources.
Enrolment in the Bilingual Program is done only once, when first starting school at KHPS. Once enrolled, a commitment to the Bilingual Program is expected for the full duration of primary schooling at KHPS.

With a unique 1:15 average teacher-student ratio for most classes, our program offers great value for a modest investment in your children’s bilingual education.

● The program fees can be paid quarterly each term, or in a one-time payment at the beginning of the academic year at a discounted rate

● Upon enrolment in the bilingual program, the one-time enrolment bond and one-time admin fee are payable

Bond

To secure your enrolment for 2026, an admin fee of $175 and a one-time bond will be charged.
The bond is not a deposit to be credited towards future payments. It is held by FANS to cover any potential unpaid invoices.
This bond is refunded upon a student's departure from the bilingual program at the end of Year 6 (see terms and conditions).
